6-7 Months

Adelynn is growing like a weed. She had an ear infection a couple weeks ago and when we took her to urgent care she is over 22 lbs already. She is starting to do a lot of things. She is crawling or should I say hopping and crawling. She knows how to crawl by all means when she wants to or if she wants something. She tends to crawl and then she puts her back legs together like a frog and leaps. Just this week she has started pulling herself up on coffee tables, furniture, and her toy box. She enjoys taking steps with you holding her hands. We havent gotten any teeth yet, but Im sure they arent to far from poking through since she drools on everything. She is a good eater, she eats #2 baby food, she likes organic, she is already a DIVA:) Adelynn is a mommy's girl.
We cant wait for this summer to take her swimmimg and many more walks to the park. We have taken her to the park the last couple weeks and she loves the swing. The harder you push the more she likes it.
This month Adelynn has welcomed her new baby cousin Ellie to the family. She doesnt really know who Ellie is at this point, but we cant wait for them to grow up together and be the best of friends. Adelynn is very attentive to when she cries.

My First Christmas

Adelynn had a great first Christmas. She got many many toys, needless to say our toy box is already full and she is only 4 months old. Adelynn is truly loved by all her grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and family. We had 7 Christmas's between our families. So Adelynn got to see and meet all of her family. We definately kept busy through the holiday season. One thing we didnt get to do is go and see santa clause, we tried to go a couple times at the mall, but the lines were just to busy. I guess we will have to wait until next year. Im thinking she may be scared next, but we will have to wait and see. This Christmas was fun with her, but next year and the years after will be very exciting, we cant wait:)

4 Months Old

Our little girl is growing so fast. We went to her 4 month checkup on December 23. She now weighs 18 obs 11 0z and is 26 in long. She is a big girl. The Dr. said she is in the 98% for height, weight, and her head of course: ) The Dr said that she is as big as an 8 month old. We were feeding her 6 oz at a sitting and we have reduced that to 5 oz. We will see if that helps with her growing spurt. She is now eating cereal for one meal a day. She does really well with the cereal and she seems to like it a lot. She enjoys sitting in her highchair even when its not feeding time. She again did really well with her shots, we gave her some tylenol before we went and she did great. She has recently really learned how to use her hands. She takes toys and moves them back and forth from hand to hand. She is laughing and talking lots. We dont know what she is saying, but she wants to be heard thats for sure. She gets very bored laying down and she is trying so hard to sit up. The Dr said by her 6 month appt she should be sitting by herself. We enjoy every minute with her. It truly goes so fast.

My First Halloween

For Halloween Adelynn was a butterfly, of course I had to dress her up for her first Halloween. I dont think she liked the costume to much. I guess I cant blame her. Aunt Michelle and I took Adelynn to the pumpkin farm, it was cold out, but we went anyways. We got many pumpkins for our house. Im sure Adelynn will really enjoy the pumpkin patch next year. For Halloween Adelynn got to meet her Great Aunt Mavis, Great Uncle Chuck, and her cousin Sara. We went to Wes and Dotty's for dinner and got to see the family.

2 months old

Adelynn is now 2 months old and starting to have her own personality. She is full of smiles and knows who mom and dad are. I would say she is the happiest right in the morning. She just lays on her changing table and kicks and smiles. We went to our 2 month baby exam last Thursday and she is growing like a weed. She is now 13 lbs and 14 oz. She is almost 24 in long. The Dr. said that she is as big as a 5 month old. Seems very big, but in reality when she was born she was already as big as a one month old. She is proportioned throughout and right on schedule on the growth chart for her age since she was so big at birth. The picture shows her right as we were about to leave the house to go to the Dr, she was so happy that morning and full of smiles. If she would have only known that she would be getting 3 shots. It was so hard for me to take her to the first appt that involved her getting poked 3 times in the leg. I gave her some tylenol before we went. She screamed when the nurses gave her her vaccinations. I had a bottle all ready for her when her shots were done. I got her calmed down right away. We had heard of all the horror stories that she may be in a lot of pain after the shots. By suprise she was perfect after that and the shots didnt seem to bother her. Matt and I really lucked out with that.

Adelynn 7 Weeks

We took Adelynn to her first professional portrait sitting on Saturday at Portrait Innovations in Middleton. She cooperated for the most part. As the photographer had said it is not the easiest thing for a 7 week old baby. We had many pictures to chose from. It helped us out that many of the pictures didnt turn out due to her crying or simply not looking at the camera. We still had a hard time picking out the pictures. We will get her next pictures done when she is about 3 months old, those pictures should have a lot more smiles and facial expressions, we hope:) Here are a few pictures that were taken on Saturday. Our little girl is growing up so fast already!

One Month and Growing Like a Weed

Adelynn will be one month old tommorow and she is eating us out of house and home, which is good she is a healthy baby. Every day she looks a little bit bigger to me. She is also becoming much more aware of her surroundings. Dad was playing a little too rough last night and got puked on. That should teach him.
